Great documentary. ADHD is a myth. Kids are always energetic and playful. Saying a kid has ADHD is very rude. Thanks for the video :)

I am a single mother of a 11 yr old son who was diagnosed with adhd when he was in the first grade. I’ve always been a very involved parent I work and go to school part time. I only schedule work and school when he is in school. My son is medicated he takes the lowest dose of strattera. He is very active in basketball and loves to go to the boys and girls club and play outside.Deciding to medicate my son was a very hard choice for me but I had tried everything and nothing seemed to work for him. He isnt very hyper but he is easily distracted and cant seem to concentrate on the work in front of him. He was pulled out of class for one on one help, moved to quiet areas, and I even attended school with him for a year. We had good days and bad but when he started taking straterra I saw a huge improvement in him and his school work. He was no longer frustrated he was more confident in the work he was doing. Whe he got to first grade he was way below grade level. Now he is going into sixth grade he is at grade level and above now in everything. Not all parents that decide to medicate are absent parents I have a great relationship with my son and his school. I particpate in every aspect of his life I monitor his meds and am always on the lookout for side effects. Sometimes medication can help it isnt always a bad thing in some cases like mine it can be a success story.

Extremely gifted and genius children often show the exact
same behavioral patterns as children who are diagnosed with ADHD.  Great
    post.

we are not saying it is not real. it is just being overly diagnosed. you might have genetically, but some other kids dont yet they are treated with meds and they are just being distracted or are a bit more active than others
